A team of Oklahoma State University Biosystems Engineering students placed first in the AGCO National Student Design Competition, July 9-12 at Portland, Ore. The competition gives undergraduate students, studying engineering in agricultural, food and biological systems, the chance to disign a system, component or process that meets a real-world need. The winning OSU foursome include Joe M. Biggerstaff, William R. Haar, Matt S. Kilker, and Taylor F. Miller. They received a $1,250 cash award for the national-best design for a manual cattle chute. Each team member also received a certificate of recognition and engraved name board. Eight other OSU students also placed in various categories of the competition.
