Johnson Awarded ASAE Student of the Year

Candice Johnson has been selected as the recipient of the ASAE Student Engineer of the Year Scholarship. The award goes to the outstanding agricultural/biological engineering undergraduate student in the United States or Canada. The basis for judging includes scholarship, character, personal development, student membership in ASAE and leadership. A $1,000 cash scholarship is given with the award.
Candi is a Biosystems Engineering senior from Ankeny, Iowa. She is currently serving as the President of the ASAE Preprofessionals Council, the highest elected student office in our professional society.
To provide further evidence of the quality of our students at OSU, Laura (Kennedy) Christianson a junior from Stillwater, OK placed second in this national competition! Laura was also one of OSU's recent nominees for the Goldwater award.
We're very proud of both Candi and Laura! Congratulations!
