Dick Whitney, retired June 6, 1999 after 24 years on the departmental faculty. As long as that may seem, Dick started at OSU much earlier. He received both his MS (1967) and Ph.D. (1972) from OSU. Dick's research interests have include aerial application technology, seed harvesters, horticultural mechanization and precision farming. He has taught classes in power and machinery throughout his tenure, and in recent years has taken the lead on the senior design class.

Dick will be missed by both the students and faculty.
