Award presented to SherryDarrin Drollinger, presents the award to Sherry Britton

The OSU Student Branch of the ASAE, the Society for Engineering in Agricultural, Food, and Biological Systems, was awarded first place in the Group A competition for the Equipment Manufacturers Institute Trophy. Douglas M. Durant of Deere & Company and chairman of EMI's Farm Equipment Council Engineering Advisory Committee, presented a gold cup to the branch officers at the ASAE annual meeting in Toronto, Canada on July 20th. The cup is awarded each year to the student branch of the Society having the most outstanding record of activities and achievements for the year. In other words, the OSU Biosystems & Ag Engineering student club has been rated #1 in North America. Judging is based on a comprehensive activity report submitted by the students. Group A consists of engineering branches with 33 or more members and includes much larger programs at Texas A&M, the University of Illinois, and the University of Georgia.

Student officers who prepared and presented the report were Sherry Britton, (Binger, OK) Sheila Youngblood, (Comanche, OK) Erica Gaddis, (Holdenville, OK) and Bron Howard (Blair, OK). This is a prestigious award and speaks very highly of our students, the student branch officers and their faculty adviser, Dr. Doug Hamilton.
