I would like to take time to thank you for considering Biosystems Engineering at Oklahoma State University. The next few years of your life will be extremely exciting and challenging. I can tell you that the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology at Oklahoma State University has an excellent reputation as one of the outstanding engineering colleges in the nation, and the Biosystems Engineering program is no exception. What makes our department outstanding? For starters, the size of our department enables you to receive one-on-one attention from faculty members who are interested in you and welcome the opportunity to get acquainted and to assist you in any way they can. For example, we have a weekly help session throughout the year where professors and seniors from our department get together with the newer students over some pizza, to help them with their coursework.In addition, our state-of-the-art computer facilities reserved for BAE students are the envy of the other engineering students on campus, who are forced to compete for college-wide facilities. Finally, our faculty members are conducting exciting research that keeps OSU in the forefront of biosystems engineering, which gives undergraduate students opportunities to learn about the latest technological advances firsthand. These are just some of the reasons why Biosystems Engineering students at OSU feel like they're at home away from home.
